Nothing makes us happier than helping you make your wagging pup or purring cat happy! Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats has a wonderful selection of treats, chews, and toys. Many of or our toys and treats are only found in independent pet stores.

We may not have the largest selection, but we strive for quality. We even have a “Made in Colorado” section!

In addition to our doggy daycare services, we also have a shop where you can purchase all the supplies you need to care for and pamper your furry companions.

Pet Food

We truly care about the well-being of your dog & cat companions. It can be confusing and time consuming to check all of the ingredients in your pet’s food. That’s why Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats has already checked the ingredient list for you. None of our foods contain corn, wheat, soy, or by products. All meats are identifiable.

We carry a very high quality selection of dry foods, as well as yummy canned foods. We can also recommend limited ingredient, nutrient rich raw frozen, dehydrated, or freeze dried foods. Many of our foods are grain free. Our knowledgeable staff can explain why too high of a protein content can be difficult for your dog to handle, and why your cat needs more moisture in her diet.

We can supply free samples for most of our dry foods, and will work with you to find the perfect food for your beloved companion.

Vitamins

Strengthen your dog or cat’s immune system and keep them healthy with our variety of vitamin products. Just a few varieties include probiotics, fish oils, multivitamins, and Greenies pill pockets. We have formulas for dry skin, allergies, senior dogs, and more.

Cleaning Products

Our pet supply store in Durango has all the cleaning products you need for your dog or cat. We have grooming supplies, including combs, brushes, nail trimmers, and detangling formulas. We also have shampoos, conditioners, ear cleaners, and dental care products. For your feline friends, we carry several brands of cat litter as well.

Treats & Toys

Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats has an assortment of dog and cat treats, including chews and bones. We also have every type of toy on the market, from feathered balls to Frisbees, provided by Durango’s own brand, Zuke’s!

Training Instructions and Manuals

Whether you’re a novice pet owner looking for guidance on the basics, an experienced trainer looking for more tips, or somewhere in between, we have training instructions and manuals of all types. From teaching your cat to scratch their post instead of the furniture to grooming your pet for competitions, our staff can help you find the resource you need.

Pet beds can be a fairly big investment for a loving pet parent. That’s why we stock FYDO beds for your pet’s comfort. We also stock a wide selection of collars, leashes, and harnesses including brands like Lupine or TuffLock, both of which have free replacement if chewed programs.
